About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to be assigned to our Australian-based client specialising in the installation and maintenance of specialised lighting for the commercial, government and residential sectors. You will play a vital role in assisting in project planning and execution by accurately estimating the costs involved in the projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the project management team in Australia to ensure accurate project pricing and timely completion of estimates. The ideal candidate will have excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset.

This is a full-time, dayshift, office-based role in Cebu City.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to understand the scope and requirements of projects.
• Collaborate with onshore teams to gather information necessary for accurate estimates.
• Prepare and submit accurate and detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Analyze and evaluate project plans, specifications, and related documents to identify potential risks, conflicts, or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other vendors to obtain competitive quotes and negotiate pricing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator or similar role.
• Proficient in relevant software (Timberline, HCSS HeavyBid)
• Sound understanding of electrical systems, lighting design principles, and relevant codes and standards.
• Proficient in using electrical estimating software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with local building regulations, safety guidelines, and environmental standards.
• A valid electrical license or certification is desirable.
