This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, Dayshift.
Office-based position in central Cebu City.

About the Role

As an ACCOUNT RECEIVABLES ASSOCIATE, you will be responsible for proactively assisting in managing the account receivables process, ensuring accurate and timely processing, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. This includes managing debtors, invoicing, account management and reconciliations, and providing necessary information to support collections.

Responsibilities

  • Process sales invoices and support the sales team
  • Perform credit checks on new clients
  • Performing internal reporting of outstanding debts and days of outstanding for management on a weekly basis and when requested
  • Process credit notes and refunds, raising provisions for bad or doubtful debts and manage the approval and write-off process
  • Running and reviewing regular debtor reports and following up with debtors to maintain good cash flow.
  • Downloading daily bank statements, collating remittances, applying all receipts, and reconciling receivables ledger monthly.
  • Performing collection activities aligned with business rules
  • Performing account reconciliations and resolving any irregularities or inquiries on a regular basis
  • Performing daily transactions, including verifying, classifying, posting journal entries, and recording accounts receivables' data
  • Raising provisions for bad or doubtful debts and managing the approval and write-off process
  • Ensuring prompt responses to internal and external customer queries
  • Register debtors on the government website
  • Driving continuous improvement across Accounts Receivable processes
  • Assisting with audit requests as needed

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience in Account Receivables is necessary.
  • Strong understanding of finance systems and processes, including basic accounting principles and fair credit practices
  • Experience working with Australian or US companies is preferred.
  • Strong data entry skills, highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively in a team.
  • Proficient in using cloud accounting and ERP software systems such as Quickbooks and Xero
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
